UAB Medical West Hospital is a rural infrastructure project located at 995 9th Ave SW in Bessemer, Alabama. The project involves the construction of a 200-bed, 405,186 square-foot, 9-story hospital; a 3-story medical office building; and an 828-space parking deck. It aims to replace the existing facility, operational since 1964, with a modern, patient-centered facility designed for future expansion. The hospital will feature various specialized beds, including geriatric psychiatric, OB/GYN, and inpatient rehabilitation beds, along with medical/surgical and ICU beds.
